It’s June! That means summer is here, warmer weather, longer days, and vacations!

To get the most out of the next few months there are a few things to keep in mind to bring out the best version of you this summer.


Stay Hydrated

Getting the recommended 8 glasses of water a day is actually not enough to replenish or detox your system, especially in the hotter months when dehydration happens much easier than you may think. In addition to the 8 glasses of water, aim for other beverages such as tea, coffee, or juices, but try to limit the added sugars!

Skin Care

As the humidity rises, you may find your skin becoming oiler. Many people take this as a sign to store away their creams, but when your skin doesn’t get enough hydration it may begin to overproduce oils. Try using hydrating lotions at night and a lightweight lotion with an SPF of 30 or more during the day. It may take a few tries to find a suitable sunscreen but your skin will thank you for it. Sun protection is crucial!

Exercise & Diet

Having more energy during the summer will let you make the most of the lazy months. Take advantage of the nice weather and get out there for hikes, street workouts, and beach activities. Who says keeping fit can’t be fun or free?!

Further boost your energy by maintaining a diet of light and refreshing foods, packed with fruits and veggies (in between those summer BBQ’s, of course!). Striving for balance is key.

Fashion Trends

Last but not least is looking the part. You’re feeling good and want to look just as good. Some trends this summer include colourful seaside stripes, anything off one shoulder (or both), and the colour of the season – YELLOW! Whatever your style, remember to be true to yourself and rock it this summer.
